For international fleet owners demanding the world’s best vessels. Our Ship New Building Supervision experts will ensure that your project is executed flawlessly, from the initial design phase to the final delivery. We bridge the gap between your specification and the shipyard reality. From Plan Approval to Delivery, our site teams ensure your vessel is built to contract, on time, and without hidden defects.
Boots on the Ground. Eyes on the Details.
Building a vessel at a distant shipyard is a massive capital risk. Without rigorous supervision, "shipyard standard" can quickly become a liability. At NMS Marine, we act as your dedicated Owner’s Representatives. We do not just watch; we inspect. Our Newbuilding Site Teams (Project Managers, Hull Inspectors, Machinery Engineers, and Coating Advisors) are deployed directly to the shipyard—whether in China, South Korea, Japan, or Europe. We enforce your specifications, challenge the shipyard on quality, and ensure that what you paid for is exactly what you get.
End-to-End Technical Supervision.
We manage the quality control process at every critical milestone: Plan Approval Rigorous review of drawings and specs before steel cutting to identify design flaws early. Steel & Hull Inspection Monitoring block assembly, welding quality (NDT), and structural alignment. Coating & Painting Certified NACE/FROSIO inspectors ensuring surface preparation and coating application meets the highest standards (crucial for asset lifespan). Machinery & Outfitting Overseeing main engine installation, shaft alignment, and auxiliary systems. FAT, HAT & Sea Trials We witness Factory Acceptance Tests and lead the Harbor & Sea Trials to verify performance guarantees (speed, consumption, vibration).
Commercial Project Management.
A newbuilding project is also a financial contract. Our role is to protect your budget and schedule. Minimize "Extras" We strictly monitor shipyard change orders to prevent unnecessary cost ballooning. Schedule Monitoring We track the shipyard’s progress against the "S-Curve" to identify delays before they become critical. Delivery Documentation Ensuring all Class certificates, manuals, and drawings are complete before you sign the Protocol of Delivery.
